As much as Texans claim they're proud to be from Texas, they're just trying to convince themselves of anything other than the facts that Texas is a backward state that won't ever do anything of note, that that a large portion of their cops are ruthless racist crooks, and that Houston especially is the armpit of Texas while Texas is the asshole of the US. I'm in Sydney right now, and I'm dealing with detectives here. And I'm shocked at the professional courtesy and friendly chit-chat that I get from the police here. Houston cops need training on decency from Aussie cops. I grew up in Texas.
