    We’ve been so lucky with the weather. The day started so overcast but when we got to Ronda it all cleared up.

    It’s funny, although I really like the Spanish and Spain I think that they are bit culturally moribund. Both my wife and I have speculated to what would happen if someone was to paint their house a different colour. Mobs with burning torches perhaps?

    I suspect that there is probably some some kind of heritage law to make sure things stay attractive for the tourists.

    Or to protect them from themselves – you have undoubtedly noted “colorfoul” facades on some of the new houses in Slovenia :(

    I think you could be right.

    It amazes me that in such plces there can be such a carelss atittude to the way how things are done without a thought to how it looks. In Spain it is the wiring. I can’t tell you how many bueatiful old buildings with amazing facades have been defaced with ugly wiring that is plonked on with what seems to be deliberate sloppiness.
